Dubai: Radio DJ Grooverider, who was jailed for possessing drugs in Dubai, has flown back to Britain after he was pardoned to mark the start of Ramadan.
The Radio DJ, whose real name is Raymond Bingham, was arrested in November after being caught with about two grams of cannabis at Dubai International Airport, said reports published in The Guardian.
Grooverider was jailed for four years but he was released on Thursday after serving 10 months in jail.
The report says that Grooverider is now back in the UK with his family. However, Gulf News could not get confirmation from local authorities.
