Qatar has 33 centenarian citizens
Qatar is home to 33 people who are at least 100 years old

Manama: Qatar is home to 33 people who are at least 100 years old, official statistics indicate.
According to Qatar Statistical Authority (QSA), senior citizens (65 years old and above) totalled 7,347, of whom 3,506 are males (47.7) and 3,841 (52.3 percent) are females.
QSA said that 65.3 per cent (4,800) of the senior citizens are still married while among the rest, 190 are widowers, and 2,037 are widows. The figures show that 199 are divorced of whom 156 are women and 43 are men. The number of Qataris who reached 65 but never got married is 121.
The population distribution based on age group indicates that 2,685 (36.5 per cent) are aged between 65 and 69 and that 2,032 (27.7 per cent) are between 70 and 74. The figure goes down to 1,358 (18.5 per cent) for those aged between 75 and 79.
The age group 80 to 84 has 718 people (9.8 per cent), 85 to 89 - 334 (4.5 per cent), 90 to 94 - 127 (1.7 per cent) and 95 to 99 - 60 (0.8 per cent).
