Manama: Filipino community leaders in Qatar will be given tips on saving and investing their hard-earned money from experts of the Central Bank of the Philippines.

The Philippine Embassy in Qatar will be hosting the Financial Learning Campaign (FLC) on November 26 at the Philippine School Doha where a financial expert from Central Bank will lecture on effective savings and investment management for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW).

This is the second time that such Financial Learning Campaign is conducted for the OFWs, particularly community leaders, as part of the embassy’s educational drive to let OFWs be better prepared if they decide to return home for good, Qatari daily The Peninsula reported on Friday.

Ambassador Crescente Relacion has urged OFW leaders to attend the seminar and stressed that Maria Cyd Tuano-Amador, the Assistant Governor of Central Bank, has wide expertise on the subject.

“Compared with other Financial Learning Campaigns, the embassy believes that the lecture-briefing will be substantial which will greatly benefit Filipino community leaders,” Relacion said.
