Muscat: Two people have died and two were injured in an accident on Tuesday evening in Al Kamil Al Wafi, in the eastern part of the country.
According to the Royal Oman Police (ROP), three passengers and the driver of the car were on their way to Ibra, when one of the tyres burst open and the car skidded before it rolled over on its right side four times at Wadi Arar.
The police said the cause of the accident was speeding and urged motorists to abide by traffic rules and regulations and be cautious while driving on the roads.
They also advised motorists to observe the speed limit at all times, as well as taking other precautions like maintaining their vehicles regularly, and driving with care, for example they should not overtake at places where it is prohibited and always remain vigilant for unexpected events on the road.
