Muscat: Four Asian expatriates, including three women, have been arrested on charges of running prostitution racket from a beauty salon in Seeb district in Muscat, according to a Royal Oman Police (ROP) press release on Saturday.
The officers from the Seeb Police Station had kept a watch on the beauty parlour after growing suspicion about the activities at the place.
"We wanted to make sure that our suspicion was not misplaced so we watch the parlour for some days before raiding it," a officer from the police station said.
In another case of prostitution, the police in the same area raided a private clinic of traditional medicine and arrested four citizens and five women of Asian nationality on the charges of indulging in prostitution.
"We had information that women of foreign nationality were using the clinic as a front for their illegal activities," the police officer added.
All the accused have been handed over to the prosecution department for presenting them to the court of law.
