Muscat: Fifteen people were killed and 276 injured in 200 road accidents in a week in Oman, according to a weekly report released by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Friday.

The most gruesome of the accidents was in Mudahibi when two vehicles collided head-on at a high speed. 

In the eastern region four people were killed in accidents while three lost their lives in Buraimi.

The southern region and Dahairah in northeast saw four people killed, while Dhakhlia, Batinah, Dhakhliya  and Central region saw one person die in each of the regions.
