Muscat: The banks in Oman will remain closed from Sunday to Wednesday to mark Eid Al Fitr.
The banks will start operations on August 23, according to a statement issued by the Central Bank of Oman (CBO) on Tuesday.
CBO also said their office will be closed on August 23, although some departments will remain open to render their usual services to the banks during the day.
Earlier this week, the government announced five-day Eid holidays for the public sector and four days for the private sector.
However, with two weekends, the public sector gets a nine-day break from work.
