72 killed in road accidents in Oman in July
Northern Oman that connects with the UAE saw the most deaths due to traffic accidents.

Muscat: The number of fatalities from road accidents continues to rise in Oman, with the Royal Oman Police (ROP) reporting 72 deaths due to road accidents in July.
Northern Oman that connects with the UAE saw the most deaths due to traffic accidents. Twenty one people died on the roads in the Batina region in the north.
There were 556 accidents recorded by the police in which 779 people sustained moderate to serious injuries.
At least 175 people were hurt in accidents reported in the eastern region of the country, according to a report by the ROP.
Police blamed speeding and overtaking as the major cause of accidents, including a case of speeding cars on main highway of Muscat in which four people died in July.
