Manama: Police in Kuwait are looking for a Gulf driver for speeding above 200km per hour and challenging traffic police officers to catch him after they waved his car down.

According to local Arabic daily Al Anba, the driver was asked by the police to stop after traffic radar indicated that he was way above the speed limit on a highway leading to Nwaisab, the terrestrial link between Kuwait and the other Gulf countries.

However, when he was told that he was driving at a speed of 200km an hour, he reportedly spat at the policemen, hurled expletives at them, tossed a bottle of wine and challenged them to catch up with him if they were "men enough."

All border points have been given a description of the Gulf plated car to help arrest the driver, the daily said on Wednesday, quoting a security source.
