Manama: Six young Bahraini women died on Saturday evening in a horrific car accident off a highway after the driver lost control and crashed into a wall.
Five of the young women died at the site of the crash and the sixth later at the Salmaniya Medical Complex, Bahrain's largest hospital.
The police said that the young women's car skidded off the highway and rammed into the wall of a villa under construction.
The wet road, the lack of experience and high speed may have been crucial factors in the accident that killed two sets of sisters and the other two riders, the police said.
