At the age of 7, Zainab Al Eqabi while playing in the back yard at her home in Baghdad, tragically triggered a bombleft over from the war. The explosion, followed by a medical mistake made while trying to heal the damage, resulted in gangrene of her left leg. There was no choice but to amputate the limb, forcing Zainab into using an artificial leg for the rest of her life. That accident and the challenges Zainab had to face in her life made her passionate in spreading awareness regarding disability and set her on the path to motivate people into take bigger steps and never considering anything impossible.
