Hard Kaur, a Birmingham based hip hop singer became a favourite among young Asian partygoers ever since her single, Ek Glassy, became a rage.
Kaur started her career rapping and performing hip hop numbers and soon became the face of hip hop in the Asian music sphere in the UK.
Her dedication to her craft, power of delivery and lyrical prowess has propelled her to superstar status, where she has shared the stage with the likes of Justin Timberlake and Pharrell Williams.
Her tryst with Bollywood began when she co-wrote and sang the hit title track of underworld flick Johnny Gaddar alongside music composers Shankar-Ehsa-Loy.
Since then she has been belting one hit track after another in films such as Ugly Aur Pagli, Kismet Konnection, Singh Is Kinng and Bachna Ae Haseeno.
Favourite holiday destination: India
I have travelled all over the world but ever since I started visiting India, I have found it to be incredible and irresistible.
I doubt there is a country like India as it has so much to offer. If I want to visit a desert I can fly to Rajasthan or I can plan to play in a snowy region such as Himachal Pradesh or Jammu and Kashmir.
In the south you have places such as Goa and Kerala (below) where you can chill and laze on the beaches. India is the best holiday destination to party as you will never get bored of your surroundings.
Memorable moments in India
For me, being in Mumbai is something special, as I believe I am actually in a cosmopolitan, fast-paced environment which is a cross between New York and London.
What not to do in India
Do not do anything stupid that would insult or hurt the sentiments of the local people.
Three must-haves on a holiday
My lip gloss, my cellphone and a photograph of Guru Nanak (a revered figure among the Sikh community to which Kaur belongs).
Any other favourite destination?
The beautiful islands of Mauritius and Maldives, as their serenity can act as a welcome relief from our tiresome life.
