If you’re planning on jetting off somewhere this Eid and are looking for hotel bliss close to home, why not check into the W Doha, which we think strikes the perfect balance between a chic boutique vibe and pure extravagance. The moment you set foot in the lobby, you’ll feel the stylish hotel’s vibrant energy, which is totally infectious.

After check-in and obligatory room checking out, head straight down to Crystal; the stylish in-house bar is one of the city’s go-to night spots, with ultra flamboyant decor (we don’t know if we love the giant disco ball or the glam chandeliers more) and resident DJs attracting the city’s most stylish dwellers and guaranteeing a great atmosphere all night long.

If you’re looking for a more low-key evening, chill out in the Living Room, which has bright pink and purple touches and a sleek white bar, and is a great spot to relax with a long drink. Also make sure you dine in the hotel’s signature restaurant, Market by Jean-Georges, as the creative, souq-inspired menu is packed with mouth-watering Middle Eastern dishes that have been reinvented with international, cosmopolitan flair.

But all-in-all, our favourite thing about the W Doha has to be the beyond-stylish rooms – they’re rated as ‘Spectacular’, ‘Marvellous’ and ‘Cool’, depending on their luxury level; and there’s even a ‘Wow’ suite which comes with floor-to-ceiling views of the Arabian Sea, while hanging curtains are draped around the luxe circular bed, making it a striking room that you’ll be very reluctant to leave!

Of course, it would be remiss of us not to mention the more-than-impressive swimming pool, which comes complete with colourful fibre-optic lights and underwater music, so the party doesn’t even need to stop while you do laps. After you’ve spent a few hours lounging poolside, make your way through to the nine treatment-roomed Bliss Spa, which has a menu that reads like a what’s-what in R&R. Take our advice and try the Triple Oxygen Treatment to feel super-refreshed, energised and ready to head back home.
