The first Sandance of the winter season is going to be a killer, literally: The US rock band The Killers will headline the next instalment of the one-day music festival on the sands of Atlantis, The Palm on October 11, 2013. Joining them in the line up are Of Monsters And Men (You’ll know them from the radio hit ‘Little Talks’ with its refrain of “don’t listen to a word I say”) and The Wailers, with the sunset slot.

The Killers make their Dubai debut at Sandance, their first return to the UAE since playing in Abu Dhabi in 2009. The Nevada-based band released their latest album, Battle Born, in September 2012, and are currently on a world tour promoting it.

The October date means you’ve got time to learn to pronounce Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir — that’s the lead singer of Icelandic indie band Of Monsters and Men, also on the line-up.

The Wailers current line-up includes Aston “Family Man” Barrett and Koolant.

Tickets available at leading ticket outlets in the UAE, Dh295 (Regular) and Dh500 (VIP).
