Alex Clare - Treading Water

So after his “dubstep drama” debut single Too Close, he’s turned up the tempo on his second release and we’re loving it. Think lots of womping and wobbles — a great track for the treadmill when you’re sprinting through your last kilometre.

Zedd / Matthew Koma - Spectrum

Beefy bass and beats from Zedd sit well behind the voice of Carly Rae Jepsen’s boyfriend Matthew Koma, but don’t expect reply to Call Me Maybe here. With funky synths tuned like a game of Tetris and electro sounds programmed from a retro SNES console, you’ll be shaking and moving to this one on the dance floor in no time.

Plan B - Deepest Shame

After hearing his previous album The Defamation of Strickland Banks, you might have thought he’d abandoned his urban roots in search of fame, money and award nominations. But by the sound of things that’s just not part of the plan. He’s not forgotten where it all began with this track — Mr. B’s feet remain firmly down on the ground.

Swedish House Mafia - Don’t You Worry Child

It’s the final release from the Swedes before the three musical musketeers go their separate ways later this year, and they are certainly going out with an electro-popping bang. I was lucky enough to catch the DJ rat pack live, or “The Flatpack” as I like to call them! Though I doubt they’ll ever have to set foot in their homegrown IKEA ever again with all that cash they’ve scooped up over their colossal last couple of years storming the charts.
