Time to plan the year-end party season before you take off for the summer. Organisers of hit music festival Sandance have announced the beach party headliners for November 15. And it’s legendary, with Brit acid jazz band Jamiroquai, returning to the UAE, along with American disco and R&B band Chic featuring Nile Rogers.
Jamiroquai, who last performed in the Emirates in 2009 on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, have just set off on a summer tour. Known for hit singles including Virtual Insanity, Space Cowboy and Cosmic Girl, and their eccentric frontman Jay Kay, Jamiroquai have sold more than 40 million copies of their seven albums since their formation in 1992.
And disco music legends Chic, now touring as Chic featuring Nile Rogers, have all the tracks that defined the era including Le Freak, I Want Your Love, Everybody Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and the number one single Good Times. Organisers said more artists and DJs will be announced later. Before that, US rock band The Killers headline the October 11 edition of the beach music festival.
