Welcome to My Wheels. Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am from Syria and have been living in Dubai for seven years now. It is a great place and it feels like I am spending all my time having fun in so many different ways.

We have not seen a Mitsubishi Eclipse for some time. What made you buy it?

Well, it's a funny story. I am not really into fast cars, but I went to see this particular model because my friend wanted to buy it. So we took it for a test drive and I fell head over heels in love with it. Actually, I did not get out of the car until my friend agreed to let me buy it instead.

Was he upset to miss out on it?

A little, but we have been fixing it and buying parts together so he gets to see it quite a lot.

Is it stock or have you modified it in any way?

I have done some work to the body and added a new air intake system and racing brakes.

I'm crazy about music and my car has an amazing Rockford Fosgate surround sound system. It has two sub-woofers, six tweeters and eight speakers. I've lowered the car too for better handling and, well, it looks better this way.

What is the best thing about your car? What do your friends or family say about it?

For me, the best thing about it is the sound system. It gets the party started when I blast it up, that's for sure. My four-year-old son Matteo really enjoys going to school because he gets to ride in the car. He loves it.

Do you drive it daily or keep it for the weekends?

I drive it all the time as it is so much fun, but I also have a Suzuki Swift and a Toyota Rav4.

Does it give you any trouble?

Not at all, even if I'm driving it for a long time during the summer months, it never overheats and I am quite happy with it. I service it myself and only use the best synthetic oil. I usually order parts from the US such as the oil and air filter. The only thing that is a little expensive is the shipping cost.

Does it attract much attention?

A fair bit. Only those who drive Lamborghini's don't look at it, but everybody else gives it a second glance. When I drive down to the beach I can hear people commenting on it, and it is always a positive remark. It's a great feeling when people appreciate my car.

Any plans for it in the future?

Yes, I want to change the doors so that they open upwards like in a Lamborghini.

What's your dream car?

I would love to have the Aston Martin Rapide.
