Balance Café hosted popular food blogger and photographer, Edwina Cottino, for an interactive workshop on ‘The impact of food intolerances on families, health, home-cooking and eating out’ on February 19.

Her sessions with participants at the workshop started off with a fun pizza making demo, using allergen-free ingredients, followed by an interactive Q&A module with the each of them.

Her crisp and clear style of talking along with enthusiasm for creating awareness about the benefits of cooking simple, healthy food, truly packed great value for the attendees.

Cottino understands the effect that food intolerance can have on family lifestyles as she suffers from over 40 food allergies while one of her sons is intolerant to around 48 ingredients.

Her blog - http://mymezzaluna.com/ - is a great resource of information related to food intolerances like recipes, places to visit and eat apart from healthy eating tips.

This workshop was part of Wellness Festival that ran from 15 to 29 February at Oasis Centre.
