Fashion and art exhibition
Dubai designer Zayan Ghandour, who co-founded lifestyle store range S*auce, will hold her first art exhibition. Called Electric Wonderland, the exhibition is based on Ghandour’s Summer 2013 lookbook for her label Zayan, which was shot by Ayaad Damouni. Works feature mixed media pieces using plexi prints, mirror and neon to create a tongue-in-cheek pop narrative that references nostalgic Arabic terms and kitsch supermarket products -- all the fun things Zayan has come to be associated with.
The exhibition opens on Tuesday at Artspace, The Gate Village, DIFC, and will run till June 16.
