The One to One Hotel's Village Club Restaurant in Abu Dhabi is a great venue for diners who want to hang out for shisha with family or friends after iftar. The place has this easy-going and comfortable kind of ambience about it.

The word "variety" is what best describes the restaurant's buffet. Starting off, there are the usual Middle Eastern appetisers such as hummous, baba ghanoush, fattoush and tabbouleh.

When it comes to the main dishes, there is everything from grilled shrimps to the traditional Arabic chicken molokhiya dish.

For me personally, I was very happy to find much variety in vegetarian dishes. The stir-fried vegetables with steamed rice was my winner. They even had a hot station for fresh falafel.

For my companion, the ouzi with rice tasted just right.

They also have both Arabic and international sweets, in addition to fresh fruits. Although the umm ali seemed to be everyone's favourite, I liked the hot cheese kunafa.

The setting however, may not work best for non-smokers, as tables are relatively close to each other and smoking is allowed inside.
