Abu Dhabi Marina Mall offers a wide range of eating options for exhausted shoppers who hit this sprawling retail mall along the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
But after a shopping spree, if you are looking to satisfy your hunger without hurting your pocket any further, Mocha Café is a good option.
For just Dh90, their daily buffet offers a pretty impressive spread that will tick all the boxes for a satiating meal.
There is nothing spectacular about the interiors, but we liked the two different seating options. One with tables and chairs for a conventional dining experience, and the other where you can laze on the couches placed outside if you are enjoying a coffee and cake.
There is also nothing spectacular about the choice of dishes but they will cater to a variety of palates – continental, Asian and Arabic.
A bowl of thick creamy mushroom soup was soothing and gave us a good start.
The beetroot and pineapple salad is something we really liked as well. The sweet and sour combination was quite juicy. Likewise, the mushroom salad with rocket leaves and the fried marrow and capsicum salad also got us interested. Not a Tabbouleh fan, but we liked it because it was crispy and dry and not oozing with water and olive oil.
We suggest you try the grilled hammour kebabs. For our taste, it was a bit too ‘fishy’ but you may like it as the finely cut yellow cubes look appealing along with the green and red capsicum.
Moving on to the main course, there is plenty for a good fill - Pastas, tandoori chicken, white rice, a few continental varieties and chicken biriyani. There is nothing to complain about the biriyani and tandoori chicken for those who love some spice.
And finally, if you love your sweets, the buffet has a fine variety of pastries, muffins, tarts, puddings and fruit salad.
