Shah Rukh Khan’s next film will be largely based in Dubai, the actor told tabloid! during an interaction with media on Tuesday near his house in Mumbai.

Khan, who is all set to perform at the Muscat Festival with Katrina Kaif in Oman on February 13, has set aside a month for filming in the UAE.

“I am busy shooting for comedy ‘Chennai Express’ and after that we have planned a film that is based in Gulf, mostly in Dubai,” he said.

Farah Khan, who directed him in ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Main Hoon Na’ will helm the film to be called ‘Happy New Year’. A source told tabloid! filming will begin in September in Dubai. Director Farah Khan was in the UAE in October to scout for locations and has reportedly zeroed in a fantasy-inspired hotel in Dubai.

Khan’s performance in Muscat, called Tempation Reloaded 2013, will feature Kaif and other Bollywood stars including Preity Zinta, Anushka Dandekar and Pakistani singer Ali Zafar.
