It’s time to get funny for actor-producer John Abraham, who featured in action films Race 2 and Shootout at Wadala earlier this year.

“Besides action, I am also doing comedy. Now I will be seen in Welcome Back and Dostana 2 once Karan [Johar] makes an announcement. I am doing all kinds of movies,” Abraham told reporters at the trailer launch of Madras Cafe, that he’s producing, in Mumbai on Thursday.

“Holidays help you to get special opening, but after that it is the quality of the film that takes you ahead. I am very confident about Madras Cafe. This is a very special child. We have spent around six years on the script,” he said.

After Vicky Donor, Madras Cafe is his second production and he also acts in this political thriller directed by Shoojit Sircar. Nargis Fakhri plays the female lead. It also stars Ayushmann Khurrana and is set for an August release.
