As her suicide continued to send shockwaves across Bollywood, stars began to gather at the home of actress Jiah Khan.

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, who worked with Khan in Ghajini, was the first few people from the film industry to visit her home. His 25-year-old co-star committed suicide by hanging herself at her home on June 3 at her residence in Mumbai, and her body was taken Wednesday to Santa Cruz graveyard for her last rites.

Other visitors to Khan’s home included business magnate Sidhartha Mallya, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actors Riteish Deshmukh, Naghma and Urvashi Dholakia.

Several theories including heartbreak and dejection at her less-than-stellar Bollywood career are being touted as reasons behind her suicide. Khan’s boyfriend, Suraj Pancholi, and his father Aditya, who were questioned by the police for over three hours on Tuesday, also visited Khan’s house to pay their last respects. After several rounds of interrogation, police said that Khan was disturbed and heartbroken over her turbulent relationship with Pancholi.

Khan, whose real name was Nafisa, made her Bollywood debut in Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Ram Gopal Varma’s Nishabd (2007). It was Bollywood’s answer to Lolita in which she played a young girl who was in love with her best friend’s father, played by Bachchan. Her next two films, Ghajini and Housefull, were also hits.
