The Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery has re-opened after a major, two-year renovation.

The gallery, which is located near the White House, re-opened on November 13. The space is home to the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s collection of contemporary craft and decorative art.

The gallery opened with an exhibition titled Wonder that had on display installations by nine contemporary artists whose work ranges from geometric wall designs made from insect specimens to spires of stacked index cards.

The museum will be open daily from 10am to 5.30pm. Admission is free.
