Emirates NBD will once again team up with the Dubai International Film Festival (Diff) for a People’s Choice Award at the 14th edition.

Diff audiences will vote for their favourite film through the festival. All feature films that are screened at Diff will be eligible for this award, sans those in the Cinema for Children programme.

Last year, Tunisian filmmaker Michel Boujenah won for Heartstrings, a film about friendship, family and personal strength.

“We look forward to another year of championing independent cinema and celebrating the diverse slate of filmmakers, actors, directors and the brilliance that goes into making feature films,” said Abdul Hamid Juma, chairman of Diff.

Ticket packages to the festival, which takes place from December 6-13, primarily at Madinat Jumeirah, are available now from Dh275. For individual ticket purchases, the Diff box office opens on November 24.
