Welcome to My Wheels. Why a BMW?
I love German cars and I have been driving them for the past two decades in many different countries. I had been looking around for a couple of months for a well-maintained BMW on the internet and fortunately I found this one. It's the long wheelbase version so it's more spacious than the regular 7 Series.
Apart from the space, what else is good about it?
It comes with the latest German technology and convenient features such as adaptive Xenon curve lights, built-in handy phone system with Bluetooth, Bose Hi-Fi surround sound system with eight speakers, two tweeters and a woofer, TV and a small fridge. I love the seats.
What else does it have?
It's a full option car so it comes with sat-nav, park distance control and two separate individually controlled screens to play DVD and Blu-ray movies. In addition, it has a 2GB hard disc memory in the boot for storing music or video files.
What do you like best about it?
The sheer driving experience. It feels like you are driving in the clouds or sitting in an aeroplane's business class. And the best part is, it still feels sporty.
Does it give you any problems?
No problems yet, and the 3.0-litre engine with its six-speed automatic transmission is a real joy. For a car this size, it handles really well. After all, it is a BMW.
Do you drive it daily?
I sure do. I drive about 50 to 60km a day in it. It is the sixth BMW in my 28 years of driving.
Where do you like to drive it most?
Mostly around town in Dubai and the Jumeirah area. Sometimes I drive it to the other emirates on weekends.
Which other cars have you had?
My last car was a stunning five-year-old Mercedes CL 55 AMG with Swiss FAB Tuning design, but I had too many problems with parts so I switched back to BMW as I've found them to be very reliable. I have also had a Mercedes CE 230 coupé by AMG and a BMW 5 Series kitted out by AC Schnitzer.
What mods are you planning for this one?
I haven't decided yet, but I'll definitely do some.
What is your dream car?
For the time being, I am living the dream!
