What’s in a roll? Plenty,if we are talking about the bhuna mutton roll — a soft paratha filled with sauteed mutton slivers dunked in masala sauce — famously served at Indian fast food favourite Tibbs Frankie.

You don’t have to go to Mumbai or Bangalore to have a bite of their legendary rolls, either. They are now open in O2 Business Tower in Jumeirah Lake Towers’ O Cluster.

Tibbs Frankie has over 250 outlets in India and is a popular snack, especially among college students and the corporate crowd. It’s the roll equivalent of paani puris or bhel puri — the crunchy snacks available on India’s streets. In Bangalore, a Tibbs Frankie counter is usually found outside busy malls.

If mutton doesn’t rock your boat, try their spicy mashed potato roll. The bhuna mutton roll is available for Dh22 and vegetarian rolls range from Dh16-Dh19.

“My father always believed in customer satisfaction and zero gimmicks,” said owner Jasmit Tibbs in a statement.

Tibbs Frankie in JLT is open from 9am-11pm and also delivers; call 04-5579773.
