Walking into Reem Al Bawadi on Beach Road is like walking into a mini Arabian wonderland as the garden is adorned with ornaments, lights and statuettes which ooze relaxation.

This Lebanese restaurant is a favourite of expats and local people in Dubai and it’s no surprise why. The décor is extravagant yet comfortable and it is perfect for family dining or for getting a group of friends together.

The iftar on offer at the branch of the restaurant is a delight of Arabic as well as continental dishes, with Ramadan juices and dates to end the fast with.

Starters are a mix of soups and salads with taboulleh and other cold mezze, which were fresh and delicious and with many different varieties. For the mains there was an impressive range of Arabic classics, grilled meats and even a biryani on offer.

Fresh bread was brought to the table when supplies ran low, which was a pleasant surprise. A really tasty beef and artichokes option with a rich gravy was filling and melted in the mouth.

Desserts included various cakes, kanafeh, umm ali and Arabic sweets and were tasty and very popular – most disappeared pretty fast.

The atmosphere in Reem Al Bawadi is what makes it a special place to go for a relaxing night. It has a lovely feel and the service is excellent, and they have a great range of shisha, juices, teas and coffees to end a lovely meal with. I’d recommend going with good friends or the whole family.
