Long-time UAE resident Gatha Saxena shares a quick recipe to make tasty hummus at home
- A can of boiled chickpeas (230g)
- 2 tbs tahini
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 4 tbs olive oil
- Lemon juice, to taste
- Salt, to taste
For garnishing
- A few grains of chickpeas
- Paprika
- Olive oil
- Mint leaves
Retain about two tablespoons of brine from the can of chickpeas. Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend for about a minute. Empty into a bowl and garnish with a pinch of paprika, olive oil, mint leaves and chickpeas.
