Top French chef’s much-anticipated opening at Four Seasons confirmed for this spring
This year’s most exciting top chef opening in the UAE (sorry, Todd English and Jason Atherton!) just took a step closer to reality with the confirmation that Jean-Georges Vongerichten will be opening not one, but two restaurants at the Four Seasons Resort in Dubai.
Expect it very soon — the announcement says it will open in spring, which is nearly over, leaving a very small window before the restaurant-opening-no-go-zone of Ramadan. Coming up are JG Dining Room a fine dining venue, and JG Kitchen, a “relaxed all-day restaurant”, described as two distinct spaces housed under one roof. In between the two: an outdoor terrace and a lounge.
The French chef has Jean-Georges, ABC Kitchen, The Mark and The Mercer Kitchen in New York, JG Tokyo in Japan and On the Rocks in St Barths under his belt, as well as a restaurant at Le Royal Meridien in Abu Dhabi and two restaurants at the W in Doha. The restaurants, which are in the exterior restaurant village where Coya is, are part of an alliance with GFD Group, the company behind Serafina, Vogue Cafe and Brandi.
