Roberto’s, the Italian at dining-out hotspot in DIFC, is getting a second location in the UAE.

The restaurant and lounge, seating 325, will open on Maryah Island in the capital, at The Galleria mall. The opening is scheduled for the first quarter of 2016. The news was announced at a press conference on November 4 by Skelmore Hospitality, the group behind Roberto’s.

The menu at the new venue will have a “distinct twist” thanks to the new chief culinary advisor to the Skelmore Hospitality Group, chef Enrico Bartolini, who in 2014 designed the first class menus for Emirates flights to and from Milan. His restaurant, Devero, is near the northern Italian city.

“The opening of Roberto’s Abu Dhabi is an exciting chapter in the Skelmore Hospitality Group’s continuing success, and a further commitment to developing homegrown brands which contribute in a meaningful way the rise of the gastronomic landscape across the region, ”, said Amin Kadrie, chairman of Skelmore Group.

Roberto’s Abu Dhabi will be open seven days a week, from lunch until late, with a valet at the Rosewood Hotel.
