The Indian fine-dining restaurant Mahec, at the Le Meridian Village in Garhoud, has relaunched under new management.

At the head of the kitchen is Asif Khan, who will be serving up signature dishes such as makhmeli murg tikka, sprout tikki, shanshay kofta, lamb parda biryani and Bombay pudding. He describes the food as “fuss-free true authentic Indian dishes that every Indian can relate to”.

The restaurant’s three co-owners come from across Dubai’s nightlife scene: Rohit Khagram, MD of RDK International; Kamlesh Parekh, who also runs Boudoir and GQ Bar; and Bharat M. Harpalani, owner of Aks. “All three owners get in different strengths and experiences to make this venture and dining experience a rewarding one for every customer,” says Harplani. “Mahec will bring in a new energy and will be the preferred venue to dine and unwind with family or friends.”

The 180-cover restaurant has new interiors as well as outdoor seating. There’s also a DJ playing both classic and modern Indian music, and seven TVs will be placed in the bar/lounge and shisha area screening sports.

Mahec means aroma in Hindi and the name truly reflect the restaurant’s concept to captivate diners with the excellent food, music and ambience — offering the ultimate dining experience,” says Khagram. “We are confident that we will be the only restaurant that serves the best authentic Indian cuisine.”

“Our wide selection ranges from home-style coastal cuisine to mouth-watering tender and succulent tandoori dishes,” adds Parekh. “Our all-new vegetarian menu is a culinary masterpiece and is expected to become a favourite of all foodies.”
