This year’s Dubai Food Festival has plenty of celebrity chefs, and while you can learn from them in the new masterclasses, you can also simply sit back and have them cook for you, too.

The Dine With The Stars gala dinner on February 26 will see the festival’s five visiting Australian celebrity chefs — George Calombaris, Gary Mehigan, Manu Feildel, Matt Moran and Shannon Bennett — preparing a five-course menu. The evening will include entertainment and personal anecdotes; organisers say ticket information will be revealed soon.

Ticket are available now, however, for the masterclasses, at Dubai’s School of Culinary and Finishing Arts (SCAFA) on February 26 and 27 and from March 4-6. They include: MasterChef India winner Nikita Gandhi and MasterChef New Zealand winner Tim Read, and a local greats series, where chefs from Dubai restaurants including Coya, TRESIND, Tom & Serg and Jean-George teach, from March 8-11.

February 26: Bennett (10-11.30am); Mehigan (12-1.30pm) and Calombaris (2-3.30pm). Interactive demos are at 12-12.30pm with Colombaris and Mehigan from 2-2.30. February 27: Moran (10-11.30am), Feildel (12-1.30pm) and Manal Al Alem (2-2.30pm). Demos are with Manu (10-10.30pm), Bennett (11-11.30am), Moran (12-2.30pm) and Feildel (4-5pm).

March 4: Gandhi and Read (timings to be announced).

Dubai Food Festival runs from February 25-March 12.
