We love that Ramadan brings everyone together to celebrate come sunset, and each week of Ramadan we'll be bringing you information on the team's favourite iftars of choice – and this week it's the most fashion-forward and glam fast-breaks that have our attention.
We've been to many an iftar, but never have we been so impressed by the setting than at Madinat Jumeirah's Al Majlis.
A 2,500sq metre, indoor venue with seating for up to 750 guests, the buffet here is truly resplendent and one definitely not to miss1 (Dh180 per person, iftar sunset-8pm, suhoor 9pm-midnight, Madinat Jumeirah Conference Centre, 04 366 6730).
Our favourite spot for an Arabian Nights feel however, has always been The One & Only Royal Mirage.
Head to Moroccan restaurant, Tagine, for a delicious meal with a North African twist from Dh175, and then spend some time in the temperature-controlled The Palace Courtyard2. (Al Sufouh Road, 04 399 9999).
Alternatively, for a high-fashion iftar we love the achingly cool (think a Parisian take on a North African restaurant) Almaz By Momo at Harvey Nichols (great for an Eid gift shop post-feast).
Oh, and the slow-cooked lamb shoulder will change your life (Dh170 per person, sunset-8pm, Mall Of The Emirates, 04 409 8877).
