A restaurant house at the fire-ravaged Address Downtown Dubai is reopening on February 4, a little over month after the hotel was engulfed in flames.

Lebanese restaurant Em Sherif, which is located at the rear of the hotel, overlooking the Burj Khalifa and the fountains, “is once again in full operation” said the holding company, The Crystal Group, in a statement on Sunday. The restaurant’s reservations line confirmed the opening, saying it will start serving customers again on Thursday night.

Since the fire on New Year’s Eve 2015, some of Dubai’s favourite restaurants and bars have been shuttered while repairs take place. These include terrace favourite Calabar; popular brunch spot Fazaris; and Cut, a steakhouse by top US-based chef Wolfgang Puck.

In the statement, Crystal Group’s CEO Mazen Al Zein said the one-month closure was a “small bump in the road.”

“We have been receiving numerous inquiries from our loyal guests who have become accustomed to the fine dining experience Em Sherif is synonymous for. Our team is excited and looking forward to welcoming friends and families alike.”

The restaurant, styled after an antique Lebanese mansion, also has an outdoor dining terrace and will be open for lunch and dinner. Call 04-4243000.

For those driving, parking is at The Dubai Mall and Souk al Bahar only. There is no valet at the hotel. The restaurant is accessed by walking from the Souk Al Bahar towards The Dubai Mall; it is on the right near the fountains.
