Dubai: Artists from more than 12 countries, both expatriates and Arabs, will display their works at a two-day event at Emirates Golf Club on October 8-9.

The event is organised by Legacy Marketing and Artistic Events and supported by Dubai Multi Commodities Centre Authority (DMCC), Indian Business and Professional Council and Emirates Golf Club.

The event will be inaugurated by Ahmad Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman of DMCC and Anurag Bhushan, Consul-General of India.

Legacy Arts will display part of its collection of more than 500 paintings in different mediums from artists worldwide during the event.

The vision of Legacy Art started in 2007 with the aim of promoting the work of talented emerging artists from the region including South Asia.

“Dubai is flourishing as the centre for ethnic as well as contemporary art and I am enthusiastically looking forward to showcase some of the beautiful and creative art in this city for their ardent art lovers,” said Sonia Ghai, promoter and director of Legacy Art, who has designed, curated and conceptualised the event.

Nidhi Kakkar will be lending her support to the event as one of the renowned featured artist along with Humaid Mansoor, an Arab artist.

Given the diversity of Dubai and its residents, the organization developed over time to become a “Platform for Emerging Art & Artists” from all over the World to showcase their art and connect to the art lovers residing in Dubai, UAE and rest of the region.

Legacy, as part of its commitment to the art fraternity expanded its scope to include Corporate Leasing of Art, Project based commissioning etc., whilst retaining its base model of buying art upfront from emerging artists and then showcasing the same through various channels and events.
