South African comedian and The Daily Show’s new host, Trevor Noah, along with comedy icon Dave Chappelle, will headline the first 10-day Dubai Comedy Festival to be held from October 15-24.

The event will be held in a purpose-built 4,500 seat venue at Skydive Dubai, with the opening night featuring Arabic comedy. Chappelle will perform two shows, on October 22 and 23, while Noah will perform on October 24.

Dubai funnyman, Ali Al Sayed; Saudi Arabian YouTube sensation, Bader Saleh and American comedy magician Mac King will also feature during the festival. Other highlights include a Comedy Strip, which will host a number of comedy nights, and free daily street performances.

“With the headliners supported by a stellar line-up of local, regional and global comedy talent, Dubai Comedy Festival illustrates that we are serious about comedy,” said Hamad Bin Mejren, senior vice-president of Dubai Tourism. “Throughout the Festival we’re expecting sell-out crowds for what promises to be an exhilarating and entertaining ten days of gigs, shows and performances so we encourage fans to register now at dubaicomedyfest.ae to ensure they do not miss out.”
