The Void is a virtual reality (VR) attraction unlike anything you have ever experienced.
VR usually restricts you to one place for your own safety. The Void doesn’t. You can walk around and interact with your virtual surroundings in real life. Deep immersion, as they call it, allows you to hear, smell feel and move, while plugged into a virtual reality.
The current experience offered is called Ghostbusters: Dimension, inspired by the Ghostbusters universe. You and your friends are basically Ghostbusters on a mission in New York.
Yes, you will see ghosts. And no, I will not tell you guys if it’s scary. You have to try it yourselves.

As soon as you step into the venue, you’re kitted out with a powerful computer-backpack connected to your VR headgear. You’re then giving a quick brief, handed a proton pack — their energy weapon — and you enter a room.
VR newbies needn’t worry, since the hyper-realistic surroundings makes movement and interaction quite natural. You will scream, you will laugh and your heart will race.
You have a few missions and tasks to complete, so make sure you listen in carefully to the instructions from the Ghostbusters control room. You’re not limited to one room though, you take an elevator to the roof of a NYC skyscraper, and just when you think it can’t get any better — it does.
There are very few attractions, events or experiences that you will remember for the rest of your lives, and I can honestly say that this is one of them.
