Classical pianist and songwriter Stephan Moccio will perform at Al Jahili Fort in Al Ain on December 12 as part of Abu Dhabi Classics. On December 14, he will perform at Emirates Palace. The appearances will be his first in the Middle East.

Moccio, Canadian, has had a hand in some of the biggest hits and ballads on the radio today. He co-wrote and co-produced The Weeknd’s Earned It and co-wrote Miley Cyrus’s Wrecking Ball and Celine Dion’s A New Day Has Come.

He’s also collaborated with Seal, Ellie Goulding, Shaffer, Sarah Brightman, Josh Groban, John Legend and Fergie.

Moccio will perform pieces from his album Exposure at his solo piano recital in Al Ain.

In Emirates Palace, as part of an event dubbed When Classics Meet Pop, Moccio be joined by string ensemble LGT Young Soloists and vocalists Fernando Verela from Puerto Rico and Stephanie Carcache from America.

“The piano for me is where I feel at home,” he said. “Even half way around the world, I feel comfort, inspiration and joy from losing myself to the music as I close my eyes, touch the keys and feel the emotions of the moment pouring out.”
