Battle Of The Best — Film Fest 2016, a selection of eight 15-minute films will compete on Friday, November 25, at Dubai Mall at Reel Cinemas, from 7.30pm.
The films have been shortlisted from over 75 entries by emerging as well as established filmmakers from UAE, India, Pakistan, France, Australia, Russia and many other countries for the competition. A panel of judges, which includes eminent Arab actor Mansoor Al Feeli and Emirati filmmaker Khalid Al Mahmood, will select best film, best director, best actor and best actress. All non-English language movies come with subtitles.
The eight films being shown are Take Me Home (English), Sonitus (English), Ringtone (Marathi/English), Iyatta (Hindi), Katyusha (English), Panaah (Urdu), L’Attente (English) and Deception (Hindi).
Post the screening and before the award presentation, a panel of directors will be available for a question-and-answer session.
