The UAE’s first family-friendly rave is all set to launch in Dubai on November 11 at The Backyard at Steigenberger Hotel Business Bay.

Called Party Monsters, the event is set to feature music and activities for the whole family, from midday to 5pm on the second Saturday of every month until April 2018.

Organisers promise a festival feel in a safe environment. Every event will feature local and international DJs playing a mix of club classics. Sound levels will be maintained at a lower level to ensure it is 100 per cent safe for children of all ages. There will also be ball pools, tents and tunnels, as well as a baby sensory dance floor with bubble machines, parachute and pompoms, giant balloons and kid-friendly club lighting and visuals. The event will also feature an Arts and Crafts area, face painting and balloon animals and baby changing and feeding stations. Street magician Darbie Kim will roam the event performing illusions for adults and children. Ravers will also have the opportunity to enjoy arcade games at the Hub Zero arcade station.

“The rave culture rose massively in the 90s and early noughties and ravers from those generations are now starting families. Party Monsters is giving them the opportunity to share this experience, in a controlled, family-friendly environment, with their children,” Party Monsters co-founder Vip Patel said.

His partner Tim Woodstock added: “Drawing on our collective experience as new parents and veteran promoters within the nightlife industry in the region, we saw an opportunity to start something different for families much like our own. We’ve paid attention to detail and given a lot of thought to what our audience would like in an afternoon to unwind and listen to good music from back in the day, and better yet, share it with their families.”

Tickets, priced at Dh35 for kids and Dh70 for adults, will go on sale soon.
