Actor and producer Theo Rossi, who plays baddie Hernan ‘Shades’ Alvarez in the hit Netflix show Luke Cage, will be one of the star attendees at the first every PopCon, to be held from October 27 to 29 at the Dubai Outlet Mall. Guests previously announced at the pop culture event include former E! news presenter and reality star Giuliana Rancic, who will host the event; American actress Brianna Hildebrand, best known for her role as Negasonic Teenage Warhead in Deadpool; and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion and Sons of Anarchy actor Randy Couture.
Rossi has starred in a multitude of hit television shows such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Hawaii Five-O, Lost, The Unit and Jericho, and earlier this year released his first feature film Bad Hurt.
PopCon will also feature an exclusive showcase of Marvel content, from games to TV to movies, including an appearance by Stephen Wacker, Marvel’s vice president of Animation, Development & Current Series, who will be on the hunt for the best comic artists.
Other guests include renowned comic artist Whilce Portacio, voice over talent Wahid Jalal, Professor Sakamoto, who composes music for video games; cosplayers and Miranda Davidson, the CEO and founder of Miranda Davidson Studios, who will be casting for a new feature film and TV show.
