Jazz Garden ‘The Series’, a new collection of events free to attend for registered guests, will launch on April 28 at Habtoor Grand Resort, Autograph Collection in Dubai Marina.
Bonita & The Blues Shacks and Sax Gordon — a collaboration of three acts from Europe, South Africa and America — will headline the opening night.
Soul and jazz collective The JT Project featuring Todd Scheflin and Jacob Webb will also perform. Local act Soul Gorillas & StillRaw will open the show.
The return of Jazz Garden comes courtesy of Chillout Productions, who also organise the yearly Dubai Jazz Festival.
“After the introduction of jazz music in the UAE since 2003 with the Dubai Jazz Festival and the launch of the Jazz Garden in 2008, we think that we are able now to establish a strong community for this specific music genre,” said Anthony Younes, co-founder and CEO of Chillout Productions.
The last edition of Jazz Garden took place over five nights in 2014. The Dubai Festival City event witnessed 3,000 attendees a night.
The upcoming session, located at Fountain Garden, will begin at 7pm with an expected 11.30pm wrap time. Doors open at 6pm. Registration is available online through Dubai Jazz Festival’s website.
