The European Film Screenings (EFS), a showcase of some of the best films from the continent, will be held at Novo Cinemas from October 19 to 27 in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The 20 films to be screened have been curated in partnership with the European Film Academy and Eurimages, two prominent cinema institutions, say organisers.
The names of films are yet to be announced.
“The European Film Screenings is now one of the most appreciated community events in the UAE, something which makes us very grateful and proud. With almost 20 films from all of Europe [coming] to the UAE audiences, we aim at reinforcing the important cultural dialogue existing the UAE, the Arab culture and Europe through the language of cinema,” says Alessandra Priante, founder and artistic director of the event.
An Emirati film will also be screened daily.
