2006 - President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited the King Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, accompanied by Abbas Al Fassi, Moroccan Minister of State. Shaikh Khalifa was accorded a guard of honour on his arrival and he was received by Dr Ahmad Toufiq, the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, and Mohammad Al Qabach, Casablanca’s Governor, and a number of civilian and military officials and dignitaries. Shaikh Khalifa and the members of his delegation toured the mosque. The president registered his great appreciation of the mosque and his gratitude in visiting this great religious landmark, in the mosque’s golden book for esteemed guests. The King Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca is considered a prominent Islamic architectural landmark.
