Dubai: Dubai Statistics Centre is now posting their data on a digital map.

The digital map will be available on a smart application called Smart GeoStat. The map will also be available on the centre’s website.

The map will information about Dubai’s population, education, transportation, tourism and buildings.

“Achieving excellence in statistical work in one of the fastest growing cities in the world is a must to cope with that rapid growth,” Arif Obaid Al Muhairi, Executive Director of Dubai Statistic Centre, told Gulf News.

“This is the initial launching for the Smart GeoStat app, while all the centre data base will be uploaded very soon.”

“Despite the fact that these information is available on our website, with the new app we aim to visualized our data and make it accessible via smart phones,” Al Muhairi added.

Clicking any area on the map will give you all information related to population, he said.

“This will not only enhance the initiative for transformation into smart government but will also ease the lives of our people by visualising the emirate’s statistics.” Al Muhairi said these services will be developed and updated on a regular basis.
