Choosing where to go for Iftar can be quite a daunting task, especially when you’re ravenous and you’ve got an enormous variety of options to choose from.

So in order to make it a little easier, Guides will pick five restaurants across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah for you to choose from, everyday throughout the holy month of Ramadan. Sahtain! 

 
1. Dubai Ballroom

Menu highlights The Dubai Ballroom will be transformed into an opulent lounge serving classic Arabian cuisine, along with hubbly bubbly after iftar timings in a fully air conditioned atmosphere. Live Oud players will create a special ambience, ideal for relaxing and spending time with family and friends.

2. Fish Corner Restaurant

Menu highlights Famous for its seafood items, this restaurant serves lobsters, crabs, fishes, etc. In fishes they serve different fishes like hamour and kingfishes. A lot of options on how the fish can be cooked like fresh, grilled, boiled or fried. They also have fixed menus with a particular fish that can be shared by two people.

3. The Terrace

Menu highlights A specially crafted Iftar menu including a myriad of theatrical live cooking stations and an array of delectable flavours from across the Middle East. Keeping the concept of ‘social dining’ at the heart of the culinary experience, the breaking of the fast will commence with a chef’s daily sharing mezze. Guests can then journey between stations, sampling flavours from Turkey, Iran, Armenia, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt and Morocco. Highlights include kashgeh bademjan, salt crusted hammour, slow roasted lamb ouzi. A feast of traditional Arabian desserts include cheese Kounafa (a sweet and savoury desert made with cream cheese and syrup), to the muhalabiah (Lebanese milk flan) and a vast range of baklava and katayef.

4. Al Hadheerah

Menu highlights Experience Iftar at Al Hadheerah, amidst the aroma of traditional cooking under the stars. Step into the air conditioned tent with mouth-watering Arabic cuisine, Ramadan specialities and traditional Arabian entertainment including camel and caravan show, oud player and Tanoura dancer. Shisha will also be available in the tent.

5. Al Majlis at the Oberoi

Menu highlights Interactive cooking and molecular gastronomy stations for desserts will add an element of culinary theatre to the Iftar experience. Signature dishes such as slow cooked tagine, date lollipops and Ramadan beverages such as Qamar-Al-Din, Tamar Hindi and Jallab will be served. There will also be an organic Arabic cheese and vegetable counter. After Iftar guests can relax and unwind in the tranquil surroundings of the enchanting air-cooled Al Majlis courtyard and sample myriad varieties of shisha. Large television screens will broadcast Arabic television series and there will also be a dedicated children’s play area.
