The ultimate guide to the Taste of Abu Dhabi

What is it? The Taste of Abu Dhabi is the ultimate food festival offering great food, music and family fun time. This is the seventh edition of the festival and this time it is bigger and better.

When is it? The event is from November 5 to 7, 2015. The timings are from 4pm to 11pm on November 5 and 12pm to 11pm on the rest of the days.

Where is it? The festival will be at the Du Arena, Yas Island.

Food The Taste of Abu Dhabi features more than 24 high-dining restaurants such as Carluccio’s, Peppermill, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and others, offering tantalizing dishes from a variety of cuisines. Find the full list of participating restaurants below.

Cooking lessons Quooker and Lurpak Cookery School presents you a range of masterclasses with the visiting chefs who will give step-by-step lessons, tips and tricks to make restaurant worthy cooking feel like a walk in the park. Find class schedules here.

The OSN – Food Network Chef’s Theatre Have celebrity chefs cook in front of you and teach you the tricks of the trade.

The sessions feature culinary challenges, demos, entertaining tutorials and Q&A opportunities. Get up close and personal with your favourite chefs at the ‘Meet, Greet and Photograph’ feature. Find the theatre schedule here.

Kids Zone Keep your young ones entertained at the Kids Zone with games, cooking lessons, fun grooming sessions and rides. Not to mention a horde of new friends.

Market and family fun With over 30 stalls set up at the festival, find a range of food, drink, products and accessories from diverse brands and producers. Walk around the festival and scour for the best deals or sit back and relax in the family friendly Premier Family Lounge. Your ticket includes complimentary refreshments in the lounge located next to the Kid’s Zone and don’t forget to get a henna design while you are relaxing.

Etihad VIP Lounge Taste in style with the VIP ticket which offers fast track entry, unlimited access to the Etihad VIP lounge, complimentary drinks, food vouchers, and access to all sessions and events happening across the festival.

Music and entertainment Relive reggae and Rastafari Jamaican music with Bob Marley’s band, The Wailers, who will headline the event. Get dancing with the best renditions of classics by 4TheMusic and Dubai based quartet, the Maplejacks. Other entertainment includes productions by Leading Light Productions and dance nights by DJ Superfly.

Buy tickets and win Each ticket gives you an entry to the ‘Ultimate Dining Experience’ prize draw. The winner gets a Dh500 dining voucher for every participating restaurant in the festival. This amounts to almost Dh10,000 worth of high dining experiences across Abu Dhabi. The winner will be announced on stage during the festival. Each week, ticket buyers also stand a chance to win a gift from participating exhibitors.
