Peter announced his arrival amongst the darting elite in 2014, with the colourful Scot following up his run to the World Championship final by starring in the PDC’s World Series of Darts events worldwide.

Having made strong progress on the PDC circuit throughout 2012 and 2013, Wright's run to the UK Open semi-finals two years ago was followed by him reaching the 2014 World Championship final.

Although he was to lose to Michael van Gerwen on that occasion, Wright took that form into his debut Premier League season - moving through the first seven weeks unbeaten and only missing out on a Play-Off place on the final league night.

He also showed no nerves in front of the biggest crowds in darts, including a memorable win over Phil Taylor and a 7-1 defeat of Adrian Lewis on home soil in Glasgow.

The Scottish-born ace had originally emerged at the 1995 Lakeside Championship, but it would be another decade before he joined the PDC circuit and the 2010 World Championship when he made his Alexandra Palace debut.

His maiden ranking title followed in 2012 at a Players Championship in Killarney, and was followed by two further ProTour wins and a European Tour title during his rise into the world's top eight.

Also a debutant in the World Series of Darts in 2014, Wright continued his rivalry with van Gerwen as he won through to the Dubai Darts Masters final, although the Dutchman again denied him his maiden televised title.

A heavy scorer with superb finishing ability, Wright's hard work on the practice board is accompanied by his time being styled by wife Jo, a hairdresser who paints his unique snake logo as part of the extravagant hairstyles which are tailored to match his bright outfits and really get the party started.
